Need A Doctor's Appointment? First, Tell The Receptionist What's Wrong.
It's claimed that GP practices in Northamptonshire could increase the number of appointments available, if a scheme where trained receptionists assess patients is expanded.
A scheme where trained receptionists ask patients what's wrong with them is aimed at increasing the number of appointments at GP surgeries. It may mean that the patient is offered a consulation with a nurse or a pharmacist, instead of the Doctor.

Corby Police Station has been replaced by a Police Desk at the Corby Cube. Northamptonshire Police says it's more modern and welcoming.
