The enduring fascination of Dr Zhivago
Dr Zhivago is one of the most celebrated novels of all time. Boris Pasternak’s epic tale of love and loss is set against the backdrop of the Russian revolution. It won Pasternak the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1958, but he and his family suffered for its success.
Tom Service visited the house where Pasternak wrote Dr Zhivago and where he died in 1960.
