What the animators said about the conversation:
"We are extremely grateful for the opportunity to take part in the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ listening project, we have all enjoyed and learned a lot working on this project.

We chose to animate 'Karen and Nicole – Raising my sister' because we found that to be one of the most moving and powerful conversations we listened to. It stimulated a lot of visuals for us, allowing us to really get a sense of how to evoke the words and emotion through animation. We were inspired by how honestly and openly this mother and daughter spoke, in the knowledge that this intimate moment is available to a public audience.

With the children in need charity in mind we concentrated on the younger sister, who is mentioned a great deal but not directly involved in the recording. We thought it would be interesting to explore the daughter's interpretation of the situation, through an innocent and imaginary style which juxtaposes the realism in the beginning and ending of our piece.

Through our animation we hope to produce a piece that emotionally and visually enhances the audio. We hope our piece will be as touching as the conversation itself.
