Moscow's 1930s Soviet-built underground railway system is one of the largest, most efficient and most beautiful in the world. It holds a special appeal for former Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ diplomatic correspondent Bridget Kendall, who saw overground Moscow change dramatically over the decades while the glittering warren under street level remained relatively untouched.
