Scientists may have discovered the first comet or asteroid from outside our solar system. It is less than 400 metres in diameter and is travelling at 25 kilometres per second. It flew past Earth on October 14th at a distance of about 24 million kilometres. Robert Weryk from the the University of Hawaii was the first to identify the object.
