Over 2,000 Communist party members from all over China have gathered in the capital Beijing for the 19th National Congress. It happens every five years and determines who rules China and sets the country's direction for the next term.
It's a hot topic of discussion in the country and many people turn to social media to express their opinions. But as the 麻豆约拍's Stephen McDonell explains, when it comes to communication, it seems China's authorities may have lost their sense of humour.
