Storm Ophelia aftermath: Beehives, seal pups & sunken boats

We catch up with beekeepers, island wardens and harbour masters, the day after the remnants of Hurricane Ophelia battered the coast of south-west Britain, with the west Wales coast especially affected.

Bee Buche, joint-warden of Skomer Island for the Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales, was concerned for the island's populations of Canada geese and seal pups. Katie Hayward from a honeybee farm on Anglesey reports on damaged beehives and strange animal behaviour; and Alun Pugh, Harbour Master at St David’s, tells us about the sunken boats and tangled engines that have been keeping them busy.
