Reading boss Jaap Stam thinks minor mistakes are to blame for defeats this season.

The Royals have lost five of their first ten Championship games.

"It's small things that we are not doing well," Stam told 麻豆约拍 Radio Berkshire's Jack Winstanley. "Like conceding, sometimes, easy goals.

"Not defending well in set pieces at certain times...these are small things which are very important that we need to improve."

And Stam knows Leeds will prove to be a tricky match on Saturday.

"They want to have a result at home...they've got a good side, a good team.

"We still want to do the things which we do very well. That's going forward, creating opportunities, and scoring goals."
