Premier League chairmen showing 'naivety' over TV deal

Premier League chairmen of the 'big six' are showing 'naivety' regarding a vote on how TV finances are distributed, says Times chief football writer Henry Winter.

The 20 clubs have rejected an initial proposal to end the equal distribution of overseas TV money.

The six richest clubs - Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea - want their appeal reflected in their income.

"On any given day, Burnley can ambush a team in the Champions League because they have a pot of television money from overseas and domestic rights,” he said.
