Birmingham job ‘gave me a buzz every day’
Harry Redknapp has revealed he was still enjoying his job as manager of Birmingham City when he was sacked after a home defeat to Preston. Despite the challenges of the role - including poor form, a frantic transfer window and driving hundreds of miles to and from the South Coast to get to work - the 70-year old said the job still gave him a ‘buzz every day’. He was still confident of turning things around when a phone-call from the club’s CEO ended his reign as manager.
