Curtly Ambrose's Ashes tips for England's bowlers

West Indies bowling great Curtly Ambrose has warned England's attack against obsessing over the fast and bouncy nature of Australian pitches during the Ashes.

"You can get carried away as a fast bowler, probably bowling a bit too short," he said. "That can be detrimental."

The fearsome Antiguan took 405 Test wickets, including a famous spell of 7-1 against Australia in Perth.

He says England's pacemen should focus on "putting the balls in the right areas" and "force the batsmen to play as often as possible".
