Contaminated eggs means millions of chickens may be slaughtered
The toxic cleaning chemical Fipronil may have been used by egg producers in France, as well as poultry farmers in the Netherlands.
Dutch supermarkets have taken contaminated eggs off the shelves as the food scandal stretches to other countries.
Corinne Cornelisse, a campaigner with Food Watch Netherlands, says the investigation into how eggs got tainted with a toxic chemical is widening.
