Kenya Poll Credible, Say Observers

African and Commonwealth observers are satisfied with the electoral process, despite rigging claims.

Foreign observers have expressed confidence in Kenya's electoral process, despite opposition claims of massive fraud. Opposition presidential candidate Raila Odinga has alleged that counting has been manipulated to give incumbent Uhuru Kenyatta victory. We hear from the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ’s Anne Soy live in Nairobi.

Southern Europe and the Middle East are experiencing a severe heatwave this summer which has resulted in a drought in Italy and forest fires in Portugal. In Baghdad, civil servants have been told to stay at home as temperatures peaked at over 50 degrees celsius. We hear from Chris Rapley, professor of Climate Science at University College London. Are these temperatures exceptional, or something we will have to get used to?

Social media giant Facebook has made a move into dedicated video, pitting it against YouTube and TV networks. Technology expert Mark Scott tells us more about the plans which involves buying in content that will focus on factual entertainment.
