Athletics doping bans not long enough - Sayers
Olympic bronze medallist Goldie Sayers says bans for athletes caught doping are not a strong enough deterrent.
Retired javelin thrower Sayers believes athletes such as American 100m sprinter Justin Gatlin, who has served two doping bans, has set a bad example for future generations.
"What is that saying to the younger athlete population? 'Oh you'll be forgiven'. Whereas if the deterrent was a lifetime ban or at least an Olympic cycle that would put people off," she said.
