How opioids reduce the US workforce
The US's opioid addiction epidemic has lowered worker numbers. Opioids include painkillers, and are used as a substitute for heroin in the cases of those recovering from addiction. But the ongoing crisis in the US has had an effect on the number of people who are willing to participate in the country's workforce. Economist Irwin Stelzer from the Hudson Institute talks to the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's Mike Johnson.
