The hurdle that triggered my depression

At the age of just 20, Jack Green represented Great Britain at the 2012 Olympics in London in the 400 metre hurdles and the 4x400m relay. He was considered one of the brightest lights in the sport. The following year, he announced he was quitting while he dealt with depression that was making him suicidal. It was a tough decision. Jack had been devoted to the sport since he was small, and by 18 he had turned pro. He told Jo Fidgen his story. (Picture credit: Eric Feferberg/Getty Images.)
