Global business news, with live guests and contributions from Asia and the USA.
Google parent company Alphabet has announced a cut of more than a quarter in its profits after taking into account a record $2.7 billion fine from the EU. We hear from Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ North America technology reporter, Dave Lee, in San Francisco. With the Kenyan presidential election just two weeks away, the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ’s Will Bain asks who’s paying for what could be one of the most expensive elections per head in the world. We have the latest from the investigation into allegations of Russia's involvement in the 2016 US election, as Jared Kushner, Donald Trump's son in law, gives evidence. Roger Hearing is joined throughout the programme by Alison Van Diggelen, host of Fresh Dialogues in California and journalist Madhavan Narayanan in Delhi.
