The Ministry of Justice has clarified the law around adverts offering free accommodation in exchange for sex - following an exclusive investigation by Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ South East. Earlier this year our news team exposed a number of "Sex for Rent" offers in Kent and Sussex on classified ad websites such as Craigslist.
The government has confirmed such deals ARE illegal. Lauren Moss reports.
On the business social media network - LinkedIn – Jacob Hill describes himself as an entrepreneur - getting into trouble at school for setting up a sweet-selling syndicate. At the end of a university career, he was arrested for possession of drugs with intent to supply - and received a 28 month prison sentence. He was released after serving 9 and a half months in prison - with an additional 4 and a half months on house arrest. In prison - he helped other inmates with job centre and housing applications, before their release - and found Christian faith. What happened during his time inside and following his release is remarkable and inspirational - not least because he's just 24 years old.
