McEnroe: Murray and Djokovic should both take extended breaks
Former Wimbledon champion John McEnroe says it would be good for both Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic to take an extended break from tennis.
Both players struggled with injury before making quarter-final exits from the championships this week. The American, a seven-time Grand Slam singles winner, compared it to his own decision to take time out of the game.
"In 1986 I took close to six months off when my first son was born, and in retrospect I wish I'd taken longer off to recharge the batteries.β
