Medical revolution could help treat cancer
If we made better use of the secrets held within our DNA, could it lead to a revolution in the way we treat disease? England's chief medical officer is convinced that it could. Sally Davies has issued a call for much wider use of genetic testing, to improve the treatment of cancer and infections. She wants gene testing to become standard practice across the UK's National Health Service within the next five years.
