One thousand people over the age of ninety in Northamptonshire hold driving licenses, according to figures given to the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ, and they are among thirteen-thousand people over the age of eighty in the county who have driving licences.

A police officer from Northamptonshire is the only one from the UK to serve with the United Nations police service. Detective Superintendent SImon Blatchly is on secondment from the Northamptonshire force in his role as the United Nations Police Commissioner in Liberia.
