Arsenal 'really, really, really don't want to strengthen a Premier League rival' by allowing Alexis Sanchez to move to Manchester City, according to The Independent sports editor Ed Malyon.

The Chilean has one year left to run on his contract at the Emirates, with rumours that Manchester City are interested in signing him this summer for a cut-price deal.

On whether Arsenal should sell now or let the forward go on a free transfer, Malyon said, "What's the worst PR hit? I'm not even sure."
