A Question of Faith
Modern British politics and religion do not necessarily make easy companions. The Lib Dem leader Tim Farron underlined this tension when he quit as leader of the Lib Dems, saying he could not reconcile his Christian faith with being at the head of a "progressive" liberal party. Professor John Haldane, Head of Philosophy at St. Andrews University, and Mona Siddiqui, Professor of Islamic and Inter-religious Studies at the University of Edinburgh, discuss whether you can be a Christian and lead a mainstream British political party.
