Oscar winner Tarell Alvin McCraney on Paris is Burning

Tarell chooses the 1990 drag queen documentary directed by Jennie Livingston, about the drag balls and drag houses of Harlem in New York.

Tarell Alvin McCraney won an Oscar this year for co-writing the film Moonlight. He is chair of playwriting at Yale School of Drama. Tarell's plays include Wig Out! which he is performing at the National Theatre in London on Friday 7 July.
