Luton Airport runway closes for runners
The runway at London Luton Airport has been closed for the first time ever to host a charity running race.
Fifty fundraisers ran the full length of the runway, 1.3 miles (2.2km), and back whilst it was closed to flights between 04:00 and 05:00.
They were raising money for the Keech Hospice, which supports adults and children with life-limiting illnesses across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
