EU scraps phone roaming charges
Telecom companies may be tempted to increase other charges for mobile phone users after the European Union ordered them to end charges for roaming, making and receiving calls away from home in another country.
The move will be welcomed by travellers across the EU and people who live close to the border of another country, who have long suffered roaming charges.
Richard Headland, editor of the consumer rights magazine Which? warns phone users to examine the fine print of their contracts with mobile telecom companies.
