HMS Warrior celebrates 30 years as a Portsmouth attraction
Built in 1860, HMS Warrior is one of the main attractions at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.
After ending her career as a warship after the first world war, she had many roles in the city's dockyard, before being taken to Milford Haven and serving as a floating pontoon.
Having been spared the scrapyard twice, the Royal Navy saved her for the nation and she underwent a multi million pound restoration project in the North East. A number of cities wanted to have her as an attraction, but it was Portsmouth's bid that won.
And on 16th of June 1987 she came back home.
