Dutch journalist Marcel van der Kraan doesn't think Stam will be imminently on the move.

The Reading boss has been linked with the vacant Ajax job in some media reports in the last week.

"He is absolutely a top candidate for Ajax," he told 麻豆约拍 Radio Berkshire's Ady Williams. "They will only go for top names in general, and Jaap is really hot property there.

"I've been to visit Jaap several times this season...and Jaap has become a bit of an Englishman.

"He told me a couple of months ago 'this is where my future is [in England], as a manager, my future is not in Holland'."
