Huddersfield chairman and owner Dean Hoyle says Ian Holloway tipping his team for relegation at the start of the season was the inspiration behind their promotion to the Premier League.

The Terriers beat Reading 4-3 on penalties in the Championship play-off final on Sunday to seal a return to the top flight for the first time since 1972.

Hoyle said: "I've actually just been in the changing room and they are all singing about Ian Holloway, so sometimes what goes around comes around. I know he didn't mean it but I think it's Ian who has driven us on all season bless him."
