Empowering women in Africa
A student at the University of Northampton is helping to empower women in a part of Africa. Emma Leering spent a year in Malawi teaching English to children. It was during her stay that she discovered the mothers and women in the village also wanted to learn English. She started teaching a handful of women and that has now grown to 60 women in the Bolera region of Malawi.It's encouraged Emma to start up her own social enterprise scheme as she explains to Suki Somal in the following interview
