Classic Album: The Skids - Scared to Dance
Ahead of a 40th anniversary tour, Richard Jobson of The Skids joins Steve to reflect upon the Scottish band's 1979 debut album, Scared to Dance.
The Skids were formed in Dunfermline back in 1977 by Richard with Stuart Adamson, Bill Simpson and Tom Kellichan. After releasing an independent single the band were played by John Peel, supported The Clash in concert, signed to Virgin Records in 1978, and hit the Top Ten with Into The Valley the following year.
