If you can't imagine starting your day without smashed avocado on toast, you may have to prepare to pay a hefty price for your fix of the green stuff.

According to data from Bloomberg, avocado prices have doubled in the last year. We speak to Jaimie van Heije, the chef at all-avocado restaurant in Amsterdam, The Avocado Show, and Chris White, editor of Fruitnet, a trade magazine for the fruit industry.
