Jessie Knight: Britain's pioneering female tattoo artist
Jessie Knight was a groundbreaking female tattoo artist who worked from the '20s to the '50s. The National Maritime Museum Cornwall's current exhibition, "Tattoo: British Tattoo Art Revealed", aims to give a comprehensive history of British tattooing and to challenge long-standing ideas about the practice. Co-curator Derryth Ridge explained more about the history of tattooing to Dan Damon.
