** This video contains scenes that some viewers may find disturbing **

Dandooro died two years ago, aged 86, yet he is still kept and cared for at his son's home. His son John Lasso explains to documentary maker Sahar Zand that the family continue to bring him food, even cigarettes and coffee, believing that if the rituals are not followed, his father's spirit will haunt them.

In the Tana Toraja region of Sulawesi, Indonesia, the dead share living space with the living. Funerals often take place months, even years, after the somebody passes away. But even funerals and burials are not goodbye, as the coffins regularly join the families for reunions.
