Will Donald Trump boost the US car industry?

Supporters and opponents of President Donald Trump are watching his first 100 days in office closely and that includes the city of Detroit, the centre of the American car industry.

Mr Trump has criticised the automotive industry for making cars abroad, notably in Mexico and importing them to the US, which he claims is a barrier to creating more jobs.

President Trump's efforts to persuade the car manufacturers to change their strategy will be a measure of how successfully he carries out his policies.

The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's Vincent Dowd reports from Detroit on how the Motor City could benefit from a change in the locations used to build cars.
