Fines For Fake News

Social media firms face heavy fines in Germany if they fail to remove illegal "fake news" posts.

Germany approves plans to fine social media companies up to 50 million Euros ($53m) if they fail to remove illegal content and fake news posts. We hear how Facebook wants to tackle the problem and what the creator of the World Wide Web, Sir Tim Berners-Lee, thinks is the approach to take. Plus Tolga Kurtoglu, the head of Silicon Valley's famous Parc research labs whose 1970s work on the computer mouse and graphical desktop determined how we used computers for decades, tells us what they're working on now.
