Powerful ally of the Venezuelan president has rebuked him for shutting down parliament

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro is facing protests in the Venezuelan capital, Caracas, and a sharp rebuke from a former ally, the country's powerful attorney general, Luisa Ortega. She has condemned a move by the Supreme Court to suspend the powers of the opposition-controlled National Assembly.
