Ireland’s church on the brink
For generations Ireland was synonymous with Catholicism, but today many of its parishes are struggling to survive. The Church is undergoing a mission in reverse with priests like Father Augustine Bangala coming from abroad to work in an increasingly secular and pluralist Ireland. Father Bangala begins by contrasting the religious culture of Sierra Leone and Ireland.
