'Alternative facts' and the language of Trump
The number of people who attended President Trump's inauguration has been the source of fierce debate. The new White House press secretary Sean Spicer said Mr Trump drew the largest audience ever to an inauguration - despite photos from the event showing a much smaller crowd than the one that attended President Barack Obama's ceremony eight years ago. Mr Trump's senior adviser Kelly-Anne Conway said the administration was simply supplying 'alternative facts'. Alex Van Gestel, of the London-based communications agency, Verbalisation, gives his view on the language of Trump's speeches, tweets and administration.
