Council Tax in the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead is going up by just under 4%

They say most of the extra money will be put towards looking after older residents.

Councillor MJ Saunders:

"Average Band D Council tax goes from about 拢907 to 拢916, and the Adult Social Care Levy goes from 拢18 to 拢46. So that's a total next year of 拢961.

"Over the last eight years, we've increased council tax by less than inflation.

"I'd rather leave the money in the pockets of my residents and take it off them when I need it."
