Reading Society of Model Engineers are celebrating their 100th birthday
Model trains are proving more popular than ever with people of all ages.
Robert Denton, Reading Society of Model Engineers:
"There is a magical period for children, which I would say is from about 2 when they discover Thomas the Tank Engine, up to the age of 10. And children are still very fascinated with trains generally.
"Over at the club we run a scheme called the Young Engineers, where kids who want to become more involved with the engineering side of it...where they're taught the component parts of it all.
"The pastime is really healthy."
