Solar: Powering Kenya's Slums

Only about 20% of the Kenyan population has access to electricity - in rural areas it's as low as 7%. In recent years however, the country has seen a huge surge in solar power projects. From large scale installations, where businesses run entirely on solar energy to smaller scale mobile units, solar is seen as an increasingly reliable and affordable alternative source of power. And as the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's Joshua Thorpe has been finding out, it is making a big difference to people's lives.
