Kinks guitarist Ray Davies receives a knighthood
Henley record producer Pete Smith managed the band for many years.
"If you look across what Ray represents, and I think a lot of these things are for the representational value of it, if you look at not just his songwriting for the Kinks...Ray has done a lot, he doesn't see himself as a pop star.
"He does a lot of workshops, and encouragement of younger people.
"For the record company we did a two CD compilation of greatest hits, and we forgot a couple."
