Pensioner left 'vulnerable' over scam
An Essex pensioner says she has never felt so vulnerable after almost falling victim to a phone scam.
Hazel Harwood was told by a fake phone line provider she had accidentally been refunded Β£10,000 and was asked to transfer the money back.
When the 71-year-old from Laindon tried to pass over the cash to the fraudsters, her bank stepped in after an irregularity with the transaction was flagged up.
In an emotional interview with Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Essex Ms Harwood said she was angry at herself for letting it happen.
