Making fuel out of human waste in Kenya

Many of us take the ability to use a toilet for granted, but in countries around the world many people do not have access to proper sanitation.

A social enterprise in Kenya has come up with an innovative solution that provides effective waste disposal and produces clean energy at the same time.

Sanivation was set up two years ago by two Americans.

It uses solar energy to turn human waste into briquettes which are then used instead of traditional charcoal.

The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's Joshua Thorpe reports.
