Panelists Jeff Smith, Roman Tagoe, Ed Keohane and Pete Downton discuss convergence. Jeff Smith is the Head of Music, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 2 and Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ 6 Music. He is responsible for the music policy and programming of the stations. In his time at Radio 2 the network has achieved its largest ever audience reach and 6 Music became the UK’s biggest digital-only music radio station. Previously, Jeff was international programming director of the digital music service Napster and has over 25 years of experience in the UK radio industry, including Programme Controller Capital Radio, Head of Music Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 1 and his work at Wise Buddah as director of programmes. Roman Tagoe is Head of Content and Editorial for Deezer, UK and Ireland. He oversees content strategy, managing the editorial team across all content areas (music, talk, live), as well as partnerships and rights management. Prior to joining Deezer he was Head of Digital Content for Time Out and previously produced radio shows for 6Music, Radio 1, Kiss and British Airways and digital projects for the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ and Orange. Ed Keohane is Director of Audio at Bauer Media, which reaches more than 140 million digital consumers every month through a portfolio of multi-platform media and entertainment brands, including 23 million listening hours on digital audio. Ed is building the team that drives the vision, strategy, development and management of Bauer's digital products. An engineering graduate, Ed started working in digital in 1998 and has managed a range of pure play, data and media businesses in the video, audio, ecommerce, automotive, events, travel and personal finance sectors. Pete Downton has more than 20 years of operational and strategic experience within the digital music and consumer technology businesses. He is currently Deputy CEO at 7digital and prior to 7digital, Pete held key leadership roles at Imagination Technologies and Warner Music Group, where he had a key role in developing creative partnerships with major global brands such as Apple,YouTube and Google. Since joining 7digital, Pete's principle focus has been to reshape the company's relationship with the music industry.
