On the campaign trail Donald Trump made it clear he was going to get tough on car makers who out-sourced production. He's not yet taken office but already the auto industry seems to be dancing to his tune: today US car giant Ford announced it will cancel a $1.6 bn dollar plant it planned to build in Mexico, and will instead extend its operations in Michigan.
