Reading must not lose 'fighting spirit' - Stam
Reading's competitiveness and aggression must not be lost, despite questions over their discipline says Royals boss Jaap Stam.
"Mentally they're strong, obviously they don't want to lose. It sounds very cliche to say you need to look in the mirror but everyone has done that."
"They players need to be sensible in what they do on the pitch because it makes it difficult to get a result."
"We have something in the team, which is very important to us, that everyone is willing to work hard for eachother and to do well."
"Sometimes players have a fighting spirit within them and can have certain reactions from players or referees, and you don't want to drag that out of the players."
"They need to be aggressive in the way they play and communicate, but sometimes they could be more quiet to referees."
