China puts extra tax on luxury cars

The Chinese government says the extra ten percent duty is aimed at reducing emissions. It applies to vehicles costing more than one-hundred-and-ninety-thousand dollars, but correspondents say it won't put off the super wealthy from buying luxury cars. It comes into force on the day that President Xi Jinping told his fellow leaders to "travel without pomp", as our East Asia Editor, Michael Bristow reports
