Exploring a WWI β€˜Dazzle ship’

The HMS President was built in 1917 to sink German U-Boats.

It was known as a β€œDazzle ship” - a measure invented by Norman Wilkinson - which camouflaged vessels by painting disorientating shapes and patterns to help protect them from German torpedoes.
